Another comforting service from Hospice of Green Country is the Pet Peace of Mind Program.
Hospice of Green Country created this nationally recognized program to provide loving care for our patient's affectionate companions. Pet Peace of Mind assists hospice patients who are unable to maintain appropriate routine health care and nutrition for their animal companions due to mounting medical expenses or caregiver disability.
Oversight of Pet Peace of Mind is led by Hospice of Green Country's Director of Volunteers, Amy Pulliam. Pet Peace of Mind was developed by Hospice of Green Country's former Director of Spiritual Care, Rev. Delana Taylor McNac, who is also a veterinarian formerly in private practice. Taylor McNac is now the Pet Peace of Mind program manager at the national level for the Banfield Charitable Trust, which has replicated the program in over 25 states.
